Position Overview

The Housekeeping Villa Attendant is responsible to provide clean, hygienic, comfortable and hazard-free areas in the resort in order to achieve the highest standards of guest satisfaction and organizational profitability in an atmosphere of teamwork and high individual morale.

 

The Role

  • Be fully aware and comply with all fire and evacuation procedures as well as health and safety requirements.
  • Ensure up-to-date knowledge of the Housekeeping department and procedures.
  • Ensure all supplies and cleaning equipment are in good working condition and stored in proper locations.
  • Report equipment failure, damage to villa furnishings or missing items to the Housekeeping Coordinator or Supervisor.
  • Remove furniture, curtains and other fixtures which require repair, replacement, spotting, waxing or cleaning.
  • Return lost and found items to the Housekeeping office and complete required forms.
  • Maintain a high standard of hygiene and sanitation throughout all working areas.
  • Assist guests with all enquiries and complaints and be knowledgeable of the resort's offerings, special events or promotions to provide most up-to-date and accurate information to guests.
  • Efficiently handle guest complaints using MIR (Make It Right).
  • At all times ensure an exceptional level of customer service by providing personal assistance to guests with a professional, pleasant and positive manner.
  • Be proactive and observant in service to pre-exempt guest needs.
  • Adhere to the resort grooming standards including uniform dress code, cleanliness and personal hygiene.
  • Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships.
  • Attend training and meetings when required.
  • Clean guest bedrooms and bathrooms according to service standards.
  • Change and replenish bed linen, towels and guest amenities in line with Resort guidelines.
  • Undertake regular deep cleaning tasks, and special projects (for example: turning the mattresses, furniture moves, etc.), as needed to ensure cleanliness of public areas and guest villas.
  • Restock and maintain trolley or tricycle on a daily basis.
  • Report any missing or damaged items to the Housekeeping Supervisor or coordinator and take personal responsibility to replace or repair.
  • Clean designated areas including, restrooms, public areas and offices if required.
  • Ensure to perform tasks including dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, shampooing rugs, washing windows, cleaning, waxing floors, removing and disposing of trash and emptying ashtrays.
  • Provide a turn-down service according to service standards, including the restocking of amenities.
  • Update guest history for every departure guest and follow up with the profile or history for the repeaters and arrival guests.
  • Ensure all equipment, chemicals and cleaning materials are stocked and readily available at housekeeping service stations in respective area.
  • Ensure all occupied villas are serviced between 9am to 2pm for the morning service and between 6.30pm to 10pm for the evening service.
  • Communicate all Do Not Disturb and service refused villas to the Housekeeping coordinator /Supervisor.
  • Ensure all vacant villas are cleaned and kept ready, for new arrivals, show villas or villa moves.
  • Coordinate with the garden colleagues to ensure all guest villa gardens and surroundings areas are cleaned prior to every arrival and during the guests stay.
  • Replenish mini bar twice a day as consumed by the guest and prioritize replenishing as per guest preference.
  • Ensure to check mini bar expired items on monthly basis and inform the Housekeeping Supervisor and coordinator.
  • Stock pantries with required supplies daily as per par stock specified by the Housekeeping department.
  • Prepare guest villas for preventive maintenance and deep cleaning as required.
  • Take pro-active action towards protecting the resort environment.
  • Understand and strictly adhere to the policies and procedures established in the Colleagues Handbook.
  • Perform other duties or responsibilities that are reasonable as assigned by the immediate supervisor or manager.

 

Talent Profile Qualifications:

  • General high school education certification / diploma in Hospitality Management.

 

Work Experience:   

  • Experiences in a similar position in luxury resort/hotel.

  • Outgoing personality with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivator and independent.
  • Acute attention to details.
  • Understands and respects local cultural, able to adapt to changing environment.
  • Personable and pleasant to deal with.
  • Discreet, reliable, diplomatic.
  • Positive "can do" attitude and flexible approach.
  • Good knowledge of MSDS and handling of laundry chemicals is an advantage.
  • Good verbal command of English.
