Position Overview

The Airport Executive assists the Airport Manager in managing the resort's guest operations at the airport by ensuring high quality standards of flawless and luxury personalized service for guests are provided. The individual provides the expertise and knowledge of all local culture heritage activities, dining options and establishes extensive network with vendors to provide the team and the guests updated and current information.


The Role

  • Attend to daily guest operations at the airport and ensure that all standards and procedures set by the resort are complied with.
  • Warmly meet and greet guests when they arrive at the airport and also escort and assist guests with formalities on their departure day at the airport. Assist guests with their luggage and offer assistance in any other way.
  • Recognise and extend warm welcome / farewell to all VIPs and returning guests and maintain strong relations throughout their stay.
  • Be responsible in coordinating with Airline companies whenever there are flight delays. Make arrangements for passenger layovers.
  • Ensure Patina guest counter is well-stocked and kept organized, comfortable, neat and clean at all times.
  • Strictly comply with data protection regulation and organisational security procedures for guest registration and credit and cash transactions.
  • Check the daily arrival list, highlighting VIPs and guests with special requests and or preferences, thereafter effectively communicate the information to the relevant departments.
  • Have a thorough understanding of all guest room features, resort facilities and service amenities as well as emergency protocol in order to orientate guests effectively.
  • Be the champion of the resort's offerings and local islands' culture and heritage. Assist in answering and providing recommendation to guest's inquires. Including loyalty programs, special rates and any promotional activities.
  • Engage in meaningful conversation with guests on their comfort, journey, stay experience, preferences, and provide suggestions to enhance their stay. Log the information gathered under the appropriate system.
  • Network and build relations with external service provides (e.g. taxis, hotels, travel agencies, airline company offices in Male', etc.) to deliver highest level of guest experience on behalf of the resort.
  • Handle and report any service 'glitches' and report it under the appropriate system, resolve the issue and ensure that corrective actions and service recovery follow ups are action upon in a timely manner.
  • Ensure accurate guest arrival / departure information is circulated timely to the Front Office team and departments involved.
  • Perform administrative duties which includes but not limited to; assisting to guests' requests via emails and telephone calls, providing Front desk support to colleagues from other departments.
  • Be open to evening shift rotations at the airport which includes assisting guests to the boat transfer to the resort.
  • Maintain a positive and harmonious relationship with the team and other departments.
  • Attend departmental / section line-up meeting and training sessions and provide suggestions or feedbacks to supervisors or managers for operational improvement.
  • Maintain strict compliance to all departmental policies, work place safety and security procedures set by the hotel.
  • Assist in shift coverage in for other Airport colleagues when necessary.
  • Perform other duties or responsibilities that are reasonable as assigned by your immediate supervisor or manager.

Talent Profile:

  • Diploma of college or university, preferably in Hotel/Hospitality Management.
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience in similar role in a luxury hotel / resort.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with personable character, a team player and good at cultivating strong guest relations.
  • Very good command in spoken and written English.
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to multi task and prioritize.
  • Ability to handle stress and stay calm under pressure.
  • Good conflict resolution skills with decision making and judgmental skills.
  • Flexible regarding the work schedules.
  • Knowledge in Property Management System (e.g. OPERA).
  • Competent computing skills (e.g. Microsoft Office).
  • First Aid and Fire Safety training certification.
