Job Title: Demi Chef de Partie (Maldivian Experience)

Position Overview

The Demi Chef de Partie is responsible for producing consistently high quality products at the assigned station. The individual assists the Demi Chef de Partie in preparation of dishes, maintaining an efficient and flexible service that is consistent with the departmental operating policies and procedures to maximize guest satisfaction.

The Role

  • Follows the posted schedule and reports at workstation on time.
  • Follows set-up and break down procedure that was set by the kitchen management.
  • Maintains good quality and presentations by following the used record and recipes.
  • Follows safety and energy conservation procedure.
  • Reports any hazard condition to supervisor or manager.
  • Follows food protection techniques, keep hot food at 60 C, cold food at 4 C or below, cover, dating and rotation.
  • Assists colleagues to complete the assigned tasks.
  • Able to operate kitchen equipment and tools.
  • Maintains food quality and service in accordance with standardized company recipes and procedures
  • Keeps the Executive Chef informed of all pertinent information regarding the preparation kitchen, through the Chef de Partie or Demi Chef de Partie.
  • Keeps all production charts properly filled out and use all charts as per SOP.
  • Conducts daily taste panel with the first cook.
  • Attends all associate Meeting, and comes up with suggestion for solving problems
  • Strictly practices and enforces the "clean as you go" policy.
  • Performs other duties or responsibilities that are reasonable as assigned by your immediate supervisor or manager.

Talent Profile:

  • Diploma in Culinary Arts or equivalent certification
  • Minimum two (2) years' experience in hospitality industry.
  • Experience in luxury hotel or resort at similar capacity is an advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with personable character, a team player and good at cultivating strong guest relations.
  • Basic command in spoken and written English.
  • Knowledge in culinary techniques.
