Job Title: Housekeeping Pool Attendant

Position Overview

The Housekeeping Pool Attendant is responsible to provide a high standard of cleanliness and service to the Swimming Pools of the Resort, ensuring all pools are well maintained, presented and safe at all times.

The Role

  • Ensure the main pool, pool decks and guest villa pools are clean and tidy at all times.
  • Check pools for dirt and debris on a daily basis and use specialized equipment to extract both.
  • Drain pools when necessary to perform cleaning and maintenance work.
  • Perform vacuuming activities in hard to reach places inside the pool.
  • Mix chemicals in appropriate quantity and pour the concoction into pools and check PH and Chlorine level every day.
  • Ensure that pool water levels are maintained by checking gauges.
  • Store pool equipment, tools and chemicals in a proper manner.
  • Perform regular security checks on pool filtration motors and equipment.
  • Ensure maintenance and cleanliness of the pools and pool areas are kept to a high and consistent standard.
  • Ensure thorough knowledge of all chemicals and MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet).
  • Follow daily task schedule set out by the Department.
  • Maintain a neat and tidy appearance and keep the workplace safe and clean.
  • Assist the Housekeeping management with any special projects and requests where necessary.
  • Follow the correct procedures for cleaning of the Pool. Always use the correct cleaning products, Equipment and chemicals.
  • Report any maintenance issues to the supervisor or coordinator immediately and follow up on these maintenance issues until they are resolved.
  • Carry out deep cleaning of the pool and pool areas as per the Deep Cleaning Schedule set by the Department.
  • Always keep work areas and equipment such as storage and chemical rooms clean.
  • Report any items left behind in the Pool area to the supervisor or coordinator who will deal with the situation according to the Lost and Found Procedures.
  • Inform supervisor or coordinator of any incident in the pool area including damages, unauthorized persons, complaints and also guest feedback.
  • Comply with the Resorts accident prevention and safety procedures.
  • Resolve guest issues to the guest's satisfaction within your level of authority.
  • Be aware of the objectives of the department (Departmental balance score card).
  • Adhere to the resort grooming standards including uniform dress code, cleanliness and personal hygiene.
  • Always be on time for departmental meeting.
  • Take pro-active action towards protecting the resort environment.
  • Ensure wastage of supplies and energy is kept to a minimum.
  • Understand and strictly adhere to the policies and procedures established in the Colleagues Handbook.
  • Perform other duties or responsibilities that are reasonable as assigned by the immediate supervisor or manager.

Talent Profile Qualifications:

  • High school education certification / diploma or degree, preferably in Hospitality Management.

Work Experience:

  • Experiences in a similar position in luxury resort/hotel.
